"When our eyes see our hands doing the work of our hearts, the circle of Creation is completed inside us, the doors of our souls fly open, and love steps forth to heal everything in sight."
~ Michael Bridge
Donations for The From The Heart project have been discontinued. This page will remain, and eventually pictures will be added. But, as of April 14th, 2006 I will no longer accept donations in exchange for graphics. The From The Heart project was in existence from December 12th, 2004 to April 14th, 2006. After much time spent searching for and contributing to organizations that focus on helping those with mental illnesses I felt the healing process had come full-circle for me personally. The original 'spirit' of the project will remain on this page. People linking graphics should continue to do so. As time permits, I intend to add suggestions on how each of us can contribute our time and thoughtfulness to various organizations within our own communities in a hands on way. Our actions not only help others but they also help make us feel more productive.
It's my firm belief that the 'hands on' approach to helping is a vital part of the healing process for anyone suffering from depression, or any number of mental health illnesses which oftentimes cause feelings of being less valuable then our 'non-ill' brethren. I'm living proof that what I believe is true. The From The Heart project has literally changed my life. Having to go out into the world to help others has drastically reduced many of the major symptoms of my Agoraphobia. I'm able to go out more frequently, and with much less trauma. I believe in myself more than I have in many years. I owe it all to my desire to help others, and to you ladies who've so graciously given me the opportunity to do this through your generous donations. I will remain forever grateful for this incredible experience. Thank you!
Total funds donated to date - $572.04! A percentage of my graphic sales will always go to charities.
